What are the cost for the hardware and monthly subscription?

The monthly service is a monthly charge to get access to the Internet.   The hardware is usually charged seperately, up front.  You can find out more about the monthly Internet charges here.    The cost of hardware depends on what you buy, here are some of the different hardware you can buy

What hardware is required for M2M connectivity?

Internet Headquarters USA uses a managed Internet Headquarters USA or other router, or an IP based wireless modem to support the all applications in a M2M environment. These applications include remote access to the appliance as well as monitoring and data logging.

What is the Machine-to-Machine Wireless Network?

The M2M wireless network is an appliance connectivity network that supports digital signage, kiosks and vending machines, point of sale systems, internet fail-over, ATM machines, casino gambling machines, oilfield pumping machines, remote video surveillance, remote parking meter, gas processing control systems and other custom wireless solutions. M2M is currently being referred to as Internet of Things (IoTs).

How about technical support?

We offer technical support on the items we sell.  Setup time is considered to be a an hours’ time in a space of two business days.  Paid support is available.

CAN I ORDER OUTSIDE OF BUSINESS HOURS?

As is the nature of all online shopping, you can buy our product whenever you want! Our business hours are 8:30AM to 9:30PM, Monday through Saturday, but our website takes orders 24/7.

If you need additional support or help selecting the most appropriate device and plan, please, call or email us for a contact within business hours for a fast, informative response from our sales team.

Your order will be processed in the order it was received. It typically takes 3 to 5 business days, after placing your order, to receive your hotspot in the mail. After that, it takes just seconds to get it going.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Yay! Our favorite question, by far. First, navigate to our website’s Home page.  Click on SIGN UP.  Execute the coverage check. Use the results to make sure you have signal in your location.  If so, now, you can place your order. Check out the options and pick the plan and the device that best fits your needs.

Our secure site accepts all major debit and credit cards. Submit your order and we will process it immediately, put your hotspot in a nice cardboard box, and ship it to your address. It typically takes 4 to 6 business days to receive your router.

We will automatically renew your subscription every month, unless you cancel your subscription. To cancel, notify us and return your device within 30 days.

CAN I SPEAK TO AN ACCOUNT MANAGER TO PLACE MY ORDER?

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO SIGN UP FOR SERVICE?

You must be at least 18 years old to order a hotspot in your name. Parents can order hotspots for minors but must open the account in their name.

DO YOU OFFER BULK DISCOUNTS FOR PERSONAL OR BUSINESS USE?

Absolutely. If you need 5 or more routers or hotspots for your home or business, send us an inquiry and we’ll cut a deal that benefits both of us.

HOW MANY HOTSPOTS OR ROUTERS DO I NEED?

It varies depending on the size of your residence and there is no limit on the number of hotspots you can order. If a model goes out of stock temporarily, we work hard to get it back in stock as soon as possible.

CAN I CHANGE THE SETTINGS ON THE DEVICE?

Please don’t. Messing with the settings can unintentionally interrupt your service. If you do, you will have to return it for re-provisioning at a cost of $75, unless you buy the equipment.  Then you can change the settings all you like.  But remember, tech support is not unlimited.

WHO WILL SET UP MY ROUTER OR HOTSPOT?

All our devices are ‘plug and play’, but don’t panic just yet. All you must do to “self-install” plug in the router or hit the power button (hotspot) and you’re ready to go!  Super easy. We configure the device to your carrier of choice before delivery, so ensure you have a strong 4G LTE signal from that carrier before ordering your hotspot.

HAVE HOTSPOT, WILL TRAVEL?

Wireless devices can be used on the go, including while in a moving vehicle. Note that, when you travel, the dependability of the service depends on the strength of the cellular signal in that area. Just like with your cellphone, the strength of the signal will vary for a hotspot.

HOW MANY DEVICES CAN CONNECT TO A ROUTER OR HOTSPOT?

A lot. The number of devices on one hotspot connection can range from 10 to 252, depending on the model. When choosing your hotspot, keep capacity in mind.  Just keep in mind that your network is like the interstate; the more automobiles the slower the traffic will move.

CAN I PROVIDE MY OWN ROUTER OR HOTSPOT DEVICE?

Yes, but we are not responsible for any unfortunate or frustrating set up problems your equipment gives you.  If you buy a device from us… we will stand behind it.

AFTER I SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT, DO I OWN MY HOTSPOT?

Yes.  If you pick a plan where you buy your own device.

CAN I SUSPEND MY ACCOUNT IF I DON’T NEED INTERNET FOR A MONTH OR TWO?

Yes. You may, after 6 months of service, suspend your service for up to 30 days.

CAN I PAY ON CREDIT WITH YOU?

Our Data Service is prepaid, which means that, if you don’t pay every month, we will suspend your account immediately.  You may also pay 3-4 months in-advance to avoid this.

WILL YOU RUN A CREDIT CHECK ON ME?

No. We do not run credit checks on our customers.

DO I HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT?

Our plans are contract-free prepaid plans. You pay by the month and, therefore, may cancel your subscription at any time. By using our service, you agree to the Terms of Service.  We require is a 30-day notice that you will be cancelling your service. Simply submit a cancellation form.

WHY IS THERE A DIFFERENT PRICE FOR EACH CARRIER?

Like the strength of each carrier’s network, the price of each carrier’s service varies. Compare coverage and cost to find the best fit for you from all carriers.

DO YOU OFFER DATA PLANS FOR RURAL AREAS?

Rural coverage is always a more complicated issue than urban coverage, but WE DO cover the clear majority (98%) of the Continental American. We offer plans from two major Carriers.

WILL I HAVE UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE ALL THE TIME?

Unfortunately, it’s possible that you will not. If the signal isn’t strong enough or if the router or hotspot is faulty (this is rare, we promise) you may temporarily lose your internet connection. The interruption could last from just a second to however long it takes us to troubleshoot and fix your hotspot. It’s our priority to keep you online, but we, unfortunately, can’t guarantee that you’ll have internet 100% of the time. That is why we tend to recommend the router which is more durable and gets a better signal reception than a hotspot.

HOW FAST IS THE INTERNET CONNECTION?

Like all mobile broadband connections, ours vary based on your proximity to the nearest cell tower. Download speeds can vary from 50 Mbit/s (right under the tower) to 1 Mbit/s or, worse, no service in the boonies. On average, however, America’s 4G LTE networks download at between 10 and 15 Mbit/s.

IS THIS LEGIT? BECAUSE IT SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

Oh, it’s legit. We’ve been providing affordable internet access to our customers for years, and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. There really aren’t strings attached to our plans like there are with other providers’ plans.

Very simply, we give you unlimited access when combining two national cellular carriers: SPRINT and T-Mobile. For other providers, “unlimited data” is a thing of the past. We, however, still believe that the best way to experience the internet is without restrictions. We don’t want you to miss something because of one of our plans is too constricting!

BE REAL. DO YOU THROTTLE?

No, but there are other factors that do occasionally slow our service. If you live in a densely-populated city, such as Boston or Atlanta, congestion will slow your service during the hours of peak usage (in the evening, for example).  Also, if a carrier is updating their network infrastructure, there may be temporary or permanent changes in service as the carrier reprioritizes its towers.

WHEN YOU SAY “UNLIMITED,” WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

It’s natural to be suspicious, but unlimited means just that: absolutely NO data caps and NO overage charges for normal internet usage on the 3G or 4G LTE network.

That’s right, never ration your data use ever again and never pay another dollar in overage charges. Our data plan includes unlimited high-speed internet for normal internet usage, which includes video streaming and gaming.

You will experience what is consider deprioritizing which mean when you have a lot of people on the same network, some devices will get deprioritized. That means, if you have been on the network for a while and were getting 20 Mbps downlink and 6-8 Mbps uplink, you may get deprioritize to 6 Mbps down and 3-4 Mbps uplink. Keep in mind that internet traffic is like automobile traffic on a busy highway.

We do, however, prohibit all illegal or suspicious usage. Those users who engage in illegal activity like torrenting or who burn through hundreds of GBs of data in one month, won’t be able to use our unlimited plan for long. Users like this slow down the network for others, which is why we will terminate the accounts of any such users immediately. It just isn’t fair for the rest of our customers!

Remember, you are still bound by the fair access policies of the major providers. So, use our SIMs with discretion.  There are also sims that are limited for sale.
