Customers should be aware that there are bandwidth limits but most customers will never reach the limits. Cox also offers plans for those who want the fastest speeds available. The Premier and Preferred plans offer speeds up to 25 Mbps using PowerBoost. Of course, these plans are limited in service areas and are most likely not available in rural areas.

Cox is considered the fastest cable internet on the market today. Internet speeds can reach up to 20 Mbps which is far faster than anything offered by AT&T and Verizon. The closest comparable internet service is fiber optics, such as U-Verse or FiOS, both of which are expensive. Even Cox’s Economy plan offers speeds of 768 Kbps, which is plenty fast for most users.
